Darren Huckerby wants to be remembered as one of Norwich City’s greatest players – but is he up there with the best? And who are the best? You can have your say here – and we’ll set the ball rolling with a few suggestions.Martin Peters - Member of the 1966 World Cup squad who graced Carrow Road in the late 70s. Played more than 200 games and scored 50 goals.Ron Davies - Awesome header of the ball who scored in each of his first four matches and went on to total 66 goals in 126 games between 1963 and 1966. Terry Allcock - "The Count" is the second most prolific scorer in club history, with 127 in 389 games. Holds season record of 37 in 1962-63.Darren Eadie - Striker with high-speed boots. 1997 player of the season. Sold to Leicester for £3m in 1999 after 200 City games, but injury forced him into premature retirement.Kevin Keelan - With 673 games under his belt, holds the club appearance record. Great showman, fans’ favourite – and a quality stopper.
Of course he isn't the greatest.
Perhaps he may get the most money nowadays but the greatest .... Never
I only have to think about Bobby Brennan, Johnny Gavin, Ken Nethercott and Ron Ashman to even scratch the surface of the greatest. And then there is Percy Varco who I never saw play. And what about Norfolk born "most capped" player Maurice Monty Norman
I dont think hes the greatest ever play, but he is by far the best player we have had for a long while, his heart is at the right place and he likes where he is living.
In my eyes he will always be a City great/Legend.
Huck, Huck, Huckerby!!! :D
Credit where credit is due......Norwich have played a load of crap the last 2 seasons.....Huckerby may just have saved them from relegation........But they are a sad team to watch.
And if things don`t improve they will stay as they are, like 90% of other teams in the FA leaque, a team that plays football but goes nowhere.....If next season goes anything like the last 2 seasons....I can only say one thing to those who pay to watch them..........
A FOOL AND THEIR MONEY ARE SOON...PARTED.
