President Kennedy's Assassination

I was at boarding school in Kent (I have forgotten what time of day it was) when one of my colleagues dashed into our classroom in tears (there was no lesson happening at the time) and informed us that President Kennedy had been assassinated in Dallas. Needless to say we were stunned - it was totally unexpected. I remember John F Kennedy being a really popular President.

Re: President Kennedy's Assassination
I was in the Penrice Arms in Yarmouth. ( must have been a Saturday and in the evening. The pub was packed and the comments came quick and fast. The one which worried everyone was " God, I hope there wasn't Russians involved".
Even in Britain Kennedy was well respected.
