Hi
I'm new to this and found all the comments extremely interesting. I've been contemplating buying a Ouija board but in two minds as to what the impact might be. I think I would prefer to experience this somewhere else other than my own home. What's your thoughts on this?
A couple of years ago I was working in Manchester and some of the staff messed about with a home-made board in the place we worked. I didn't take part but heard the next day that loads of strange things went on e.g. moving glasses, broken glass etc. The place always felt a bit weird after that also.
Kind Regards

hi. i think it will be ok to use one , but make sure u not on yr own. and the others u use it with, u must trust them 100% .
i been doing it for bout 3-4 years now.
but i dont actually use a board, but i make letters out of cut up squared paper with a yes and a no. it works exactly the same.
u can try this way first and see how it goes. before spending out lots of money.
hope this helps xxxxx

Thanks for your replies, it's helped me to make my mind up.
I'm still undecided on whether to buy one or not but now I know it definitely won't be used in my own home and by myself.
What's the scariest experience you've had and do the spirits actually leave as I've heard that they can stay with you and cause things to happen. I've always been interested in this kind of thing but would like to hear about different experiences. Also, can you ask to speak to certain spirits e.g. close people to you who have passed away?
Kind regards

hi. i have been told that you should not call on certian spirits. i never have done.
reason being i have told, is that you can get some bad spirit come through and lie and play with yr head. weather this is true or not, i still dont call for who i know.
as for spirits staying in your home, this is quite true. (as i believe) for i still have a spirit here who wont leave. but the last few months nothing has happened. not a bad spirit by far. but one who likes to do things to tell us they are here.
i have had some great experiances with this way of contacting spirits.

Hi,
I have used the ouji board (in the past) with some apprehension. I agree with Fallen Angel, that is, never to use the board with anyone that you do not trust and who is into it for pure entertainment value, otherwise, you will never know if you have truly made contact.
Many use the ouji board during p/investigations. Question - How many actually use it on outside locations and if used outside and contact is made, what is the possibility of a mischevious spirit coming through and remaining with the individual/s - or if one came through would it remain located to the spot only?
Cheers
Thanks
Sans

hi.
i have only just started to use the ouiji board on investigations.
me and my friends usually do it in each others homes.
yes some stay.
but they do (as im told,) have their own free will to leave. if they never and were trapped if set free then i would most defenetly not use the board.

Hi
I lost my nephew 2 years ago he was 13. I have always been interested in the paranormal and I strongly believe in spirits and hauntings etc.
I bought an ouija board and used it for the first time 3 months ago. I was with 3 good friends one of which didn't really believe. The plancette moved around a bit not really spelling out anything but when asked if it was a boy/man it went to yes I then randomly asked if it was my nephew and to prove it asked if he would spell out his name and the age he was when he passed away.
I got very upset naturally but didn't feel threatened scared or anything. My cat was under the table the whole time. He said he was happy and that he was with his grandmother and great mother and when I asked if he wanted us to go he said yes so we did as he said.
I did it again recently with my husband who totally thinks its a load of crap. It happened again but this time really slowly the initials were not my nephews but I really believe it was him again trying his best to come through. I so desparately want to ask him a question which has been playing on my mind since he passed away and would rather be on my own when I try it. Can the board be used during the day or does it have to be during the "witching hour"!! I miss him so very much and want to talk to him again but am a little apprehensive as I don't want to bring something through that will cause problems i.e. a bad spirit.

Hi Fallen Angel,
Thanks for your reply. This subject is certainly evocative with many for and against the use of ouji boards. I forgot to add to my previous post having a medium to hand should things go wrong.
Hello Emma,
There are many here that can advise you about the ouji board. I have not used one for a long time and would not use one on my own (purely a personal choice). I do not think the hour of the day when wishing to use the board should make any difference, but then some may disagree with me. It is 'intent' that i think is the important factor here, like attracts like. Always perform an opening and closing prayer and keep your thoughts focused and pure.
Have you considered asking your nephew this question just before you go to sleep - he may be trying to answer in dream form?
Whatever you and your nephew were to each other, you still are :)
Thanks
Sans

EMMA HI.
SORRY TO HEAR YOU LOST YOUR NEPHEW.
THIS IS A HARD ONE. AS MANY PEOPLE INCLUDING MYSELF ALWAYS WISH FOR A RELITIVE TO COME THROUGH TO US. BUT IT DOES NOT ALWAYS HAPPEN. IM SO GLAD HE CAME THROUGH TO YOU. BUT SORRY YOU DID NOT GET THE ANSWERS YOU WANTED.
I AGREE WITH SANS THAT USUING THE BOARD AT ANY TIME IS FINE. BUT I REALLY WOULD NOT USE ONE ON YOUR OWN.
I CANT SAY REALLY WHY BUT I JUST WOULDNT. ALSO BEEN TOLD, THERE MAY NOT BE ENOUGH ENERGY IF THERE IS ONLY 1 PERSON.
IF THERE ARE ANSWERS TRY DOING WHAT SANS HAS SAID, TRY ASKING BEFORE YOU GO TO SLEEP.
NOT TOO SURE ABOUT A DOWSING CRYSTAL, SOME SAY THEY WORK OTHERS DISSAGREE. I HAVE 1 BUT MANY SAY THAT YOU HAVE SOME NERVE THING IN YR ARM THAT MAKES IT MOVE. NOT TOO SURE, BUT YOU CAN TRY.

I hve always been keen to know about peoples experiences with ouija boards....i am very undecided about them, i have known of an odd occurance after friends used one. But theres always that thing with me,of"it could just be coincidence". I just cant really believe that a piece of card, some letters, a glass or whatever, can bring spirits, after all they are sold in the shops as a "Game"- yet saying that i wouldnt want to fiddle with one, because theres always the thought that you may be getting involved with what you dont know about! I recently read the Mia Dolan book- "Haunted Homes" and she REALLY advised against it, saying that there was EVIL in the world, that Can be brought through Ouija Boards/Seances? It was quite a scary read! Would love to hear your comments forum members.
