Sporle Hunt
Hi, I'm trying to trace my family name (Sporle) back as far as I can go but it's proving to be difficult. The furthest I have managed to go is a Richard Sporle who married a Frances Nash in 1823 at Hempnall Church, they had a son called George in 1825. This is all I know about Richard and Frances but George I know moved down to Ipswich and married a Sarah Gooding on 28 nov 1847 at the registry office in Ipswich. George and Sarah had 6 kids (I think) one of whom a Henry Victor is in my direct line. GEorge and Sarah moved to London after their first two children were born. I would be extremly grateful for any information that can help with this, I'm also trying to see if their is a coat of arms or family crest associated with Sporle but have found nothing. In my family a image was used of an Angel with clenched fists (a bad angel apparently) and dots above her head. No idea where this originated from but has been used in my direct family for at least the past 3 or 4 generations. Any information regarding this would be brilliant. Thank you.

Re: Sporle Hunt

the sporle crest is in a book in the british museum. my sporles come from ipswich but i think they were there before 1847 so not descended from your george.
