Disturbing Questions about the Bush Administration and 9/11

Well I've just started reading this book, its basically what the subtitle says and is a compilation of the writer posing various questions, quoting from other sources and 'investigating' those questions. Its quite an addictive read. Some of the questions and theories raised are quite 'eye opening'.
Some examples:
Suggestions of 'Official Complicity'. (Going from bad to worse!)
1. Construction of a False Account: US officials played no role in facilitating the attacks, did not expect them but constructed a false account of what really happened.
2. Something expected by intelligence agencies: Some US agencies (FBI, CIA, Military etc) had some intelligence of some sort of attack but no specific information. They perhaps played a role in facilitating the attacks in the sense of deliberately not taking steps to prevent them.
3. Specific events expected by intelligence agencies: Intelligence agencies (but not the white house) had secific information about the timing and targets of the attacks.
4. Intelligence agencies involved in planning: Intelligence agencies (but not the white house) actively participated in planning the attacks.
5. Pentagon involved in planning: The Pentagon (but not the white house) actively participated in planning the attacks.
6. Something expected by the white house: The white house had no specific knowledge of the attacks in advance, but expected some sort of attacks to occur and was party to facilitating them in the sense of not ordering that they be prevented.
7. Specific advance knowledge by the white house: The white house had specific knowledge of the timing and the targets of the attacks.
8. White house involved in planning: The white house was party to planning the attacks.
A fairly major question raised is; Why were fighter jets not scrambled?
Officials had definate knowledge that Flight 11 had been hijacked 25 minutes before impact. I won't trawl through all the facts and figures, but US Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in this sort of situation call for jets to be scrambled and to intercept the suspect aircraft. Why did this not happen on Sept 11, when the same SOPs had been carried out 67 times in the previous 9 months. For jets not to be scrambled in this sort of situation would require an order from someone high up in the military or government.
A couple of other questions raised are; Why did the WTC 1 & 2 collapse so quickly and Why did WTC7 collapse at all, when it was only struck by a few bits of debris. Why was the evidence removed so quickly? Contolled Demolition?
The hole in the pentagon: The book practically asks, where did the missile come from that made the hole? Cos it aint a Boeing-757-shaped hole!!
Anyway, great read, definately recommended if you like that sort of thing.
