Today we were treated with a fly over from the B-17 Sally B, also flying by its side a P-47 Thunderbolt, Those of us in Thompson and Merton and probley a few other villages were able to get a fantastic view the pair of war birds flying directly over head, with a continued pass over, over the stanford Battle area for some 4-5 flights. WOW! what a treat. Yet to find what the occasion was or possible some footage for a coming movie. At moment waiting for a reply via email, unless anyone knows the reason?. picture at www.merton.ukgo.com pop up window....    Report
