I am researching my family tree and find that the Tylers originate from the Garboldisham and Riddlesworth villages. My great, great, great Grandfather was Rueben Tyler who lived with a large family in Garboldisham in the early to late 1800's.
His son,Edward Tyler, moved with the advent of the industrial revolution to Bradford,Yorks, where my geat grandfather, grandfather and father were all subsequently born.
I am in the process of compiling a detailed family tree and am most interested in the Norfolk connection. I have visited both villages mentioned above and have found large numbers of Tylers in the graveyards of both churches.
I would love to find out if there are descendants still in these areas and with that in mind would like to be in touch with anyone who may be able to help my research.
Jack Tyler..........Yorkshire Tyler branch!
Hi Jack.
My roots are the same as yours and I have lots of info. In fact I've written a booklet which if you have broadband and you let me know your e mail I can send to you. My great grandfather, Harry, I think stopped with Edward, when he travelled up north. He subsequently went over to Lancashire where he worked on the Lancs and Yorks Railway.
Hope to hear from you
Norman Tyler (now located down south!!)
Norman
I am the ggg-grandson of John WALKER and Harriott TYLER. I believe Harriott was from Riddlesworth, Norfolk, near Garboldisham. She was born about 1784, married in 1819, and died in Thelnetham in 1846. I'd be very interested to know if she is related to your Tylers.
Regards
David
