John Frederick Ammon last seen by his daughter in 1945, in East London. That year she, Hazel Audrey Ammon, married, taking the name Nicholls, and emmigrated to Canada as a 'war bride'. She lost contact with him or his whereabouts. She has never returned to England and is now 81. John would have died anytime between 1960-1990. (most likely anyway). We are just trying to find out what ever became of him. All we do know is that he was a baker and was believed to have moved to either Norfolk or Suffolk and probably did have a bakery wherever he was. He did divorce my grandmother, Ada, in 1953 (we think). We can't use the Public Records Office Indexes for record of death certificate because, as mentioned, we don't know what year he died or where. We do know that he was one of at least 11 brothers and sisters, him being the 2nd oldest, being born March 8, 1897. We assume all his younger brothers and sisters must have passed on by now also but, being such a large family, there must be quite a few 'off-spring' around. Obviously not all of them will have the Ammon name but there must be quite a few Ammons at least. Whether any of Ammons in either Norfolk or Suffolk might be in any way related to John----we don't know.
