Re: The Dangers Of Using A ouija Board

Hi John,

Welcome to the forum.

It depends on your personal stance really:

1. If evil spirits and demons really do come through causing death, destruction, pestilence and famine, indeed, why can’t they move a titchy little glass / planchette – your guess is as good as mine.

2. The board / glass is a tool, an indicator if you like. One of the sitters acts a channeller, their subconscious linking with the spirit world, which, unbeknown to themselves, causes them to move the glass / planchette, spelling out what they are picking up (thus the need to remain in contact with the glass / planchette.

3. Along the lines of 2. above, one of the sitters unknowingly directs the movement of the glass / planchette. This is known as the ‘ideomotor’ effect; or

4. One of the sitters is mucking about.

Hope that this throws some light on the situation.

Kind Regards

Mark D.

Re: The Dangers Of Using A ouija Board

Hello and welcome justpassingthru

John I would not consider myself as expert, I can’t speak for the others… I can however speak for myself, from having some experience in these matters.

You have raised a very valid question here

Both Pat and I have witnessed objects being levitated and moved around a room under intelligent control on several occasions, we have seen objects apport (that is say materialise from…. Well I don’t actually were from, to just appear literally out of thin air) seen heavy objects move again intelligent control… even if as some would believe this is an effect of PK then if we can do from our side of life I am certain that it is possible from ‘The Other Side of Life’

So I know from experience that things can and do move under spirit control… now why then can’t they move a pointer or a planchette (a small, heart-shaped board supported by two casters and a pencil or stylus that, when moved by the fingertips across a surface, supposedly writes clairvoyant messages or subconscious thoughts.)

The answer in my opinion is contained in the above bracketed sentence, really in the last two words… subconscious thoughts.

I have yet to see an Ouija board give any evidence when the sitters are blindfolded,

To me would suggest that the discarnate spirit can see the board and needs the sitter or sitters also (whom they link with on a mind to subconscious mind level) to see the letters whilst using the board to spell out any information.

As to why they can’t move the pointer without having fingers on it… I am sure that under the correct conditions they would be able to, what are the correct conditions? I don’t know the answer to that, perhaps it needs a psychical medium in attendance as in the examples I have cited above.

DTT did you mean physical medium, or did you really mean psychical?

Anubis well both really! …. No I must own up it was a temporary lapse of concentration, I intended to type physical thanks for pointing it out.

As I’m certain you know there is a distinction between mental Mediumship and physical Mediumship.

Perhaps a topic for a new post!

Yes I care, the question was...  who cares? (as in who else cares?)

I feel very strongly about this subject

Ouija Boards have a bad press... because most people DON'T care

they think they know all about the negative effects and the harm they cause...  however how many people have had a bad experience that they can say without any doubt came about from a discarnate source?

And of those who have, how many sought how to correctly use and not abuse the board (or really the spirits who made contact?)

As with so many things, if you treat them with the respect they deserve you should not have any adverse effects.

I can't help but notice the tone of some of the replys to several topics posted here... and well a little respect would go a long long way...

Re: The Dangers Of Using A ouija Board

I have not used a ouija board in years until just recently trying it out again. I was wanting to find out for myself if it is possible that I no longer have the mind set to be able to connect with the spirit world as I had before. Anyway ,we are doing a live ouija board session online off http://www.zolaenterprises.com/ghostwebcams.htm to show the world what we do or do not find there. If you wish to check out the page we will be doing these often we hope. I do not think it is as dangerous as some think if you use it proper and with the right mind set and people in this event.

Is it fair for the NHS to have to foot the bill for all these people using ouija boards and then needing help afterwards for delusions ???

Re: The Dangers Of Using A ouija Board

During the evening of 31st Oct 2006 a grand experiment will be taking place in Reepham to see if it is possible to contact the living!

During the evening an Ouija Board session is planned to allow the people in Spirit to try and contact those present, to prove once and for all that there is life before death!
