Not fully
I still get them from time to time, even with protection but not so bad as when I first started out. The Development classes were a great help. Befor then I was using no protection.
The Bridewell is a good example of a good thumper. I had a headache for the rest of the day after my visits there.
God know what it would have been like, before I learned protection. Castle acre Priory I guess, That head ache was with me for the whole week.
Mind you, alot happened at Castle Acre Priory.
Best wishes
Eddie

Hi Eddie,
Thanks for that...perhaps as part of the protection process we could consider including not allowing ourselves to be physically or psychically affected afterwards, just a thought ;)
A salt bath before hand might help?
Yep, Castle Acre certainly has loads of activity.
Thanks
Sans

Hi Sans
Easier said than done. Giggle
I have heard that many mediums get headaches & sickness after working with spirit.
Luckily I only get a headache, be it mild in comparison after I learned protection.
I have never heard of the salt bath, in way of protection. thats a new one on me.
Best wishes
Eddie

Hi guys...ive been following your thread. and find it very interesting!! I must say that when my daughter Amy had her first experience at Bridewell Museum...she felt ill for about a week after! She felt drained and tired, headache and nausea...she was very different that week..quite quiet and introverted, i kept asking if she was ok, she kept saying she felt shattered. I had my first small experience and i must admit i didnt feel too good either all that week, similar to Amy?? I have heard of salt baths as protection, after an encounter...as i read it in a book i just bought...very interesting book...about how to clear your home, and cleanse yourself and handling encounters...i cant remember the title at the moment, but i bought it from Asda for about £3.60, and if you are interested i will give you the title. So Sans yes i think you can do stuff to protect yourself.

Hi Spookfan and Hi Eddie,
Spookfan - I would like the title of the book please, perhaps you could post it on our book list thread...thanks
Okay, I have just recalled where I read more recently about salt baths. It is in the book Astral Travel For Beginners. Although I know I have similar references elsewhere.
In the above book the author talks about an aditional safeguard for psychic protection while out of body. And, there are other books reference crystals that talk of similar. But his logic makes sense and I do not think you have to be astral travelling in order to use it as part of the protection ritual.
"Salt & water are especially useful. Salt is a crystal that represents the element earth. Water represents the psychic world. If we are having a bath as a ritual of protection, we need to remain aware the whole time we are bathing that this is the purpose of it. You can also use the water & salt in different ways. You might want to place a teaspoon of salt in each of the 4 major directions around the area you are going to travel from (here i include working from). You can then sprinkle water in a large circle to provide a ring of protecion"...good for seances and those that partake in the ouiji board!
He also suggests dissolving salt in water and using it from a squeezy bottle - Personally, I like that idea, it is portable and can be used quickly. It is another useful safeguard and can be adopted in the same way that mediums are usually usually encouraged to eat light and drink water and cut out caffeine before performing.
I guess you could also consider holy water!
Thanks
Sans
