The Earth changes in its orbit in a number of ways,
The polar angle changes and rotates around its axis over time, the distance to the Sun at the closest part of its orbit and the furthest varies and there are many other Stella effects.
Extremes of these changes and combinations cause weather extremes like ice ages and floods.
Human prediction of the events caused by these changes has been undertaken from the earliest human existence, astrology attempted to include Stella changes to this practice and religion served as a tablet to record past events.
Time Team has uncovered many things to firm up the truths of history and explain some of the environmental changes.
Science has researched and mapped such changes fairly accurately but other influences like the effect of human life on the planet has been proven to swing the changes by measurable amounts and cannot be discounted.
There is a bottom line however.
It does not matter a jot what the causes are, East Anglia IS going to suffer major flooding in the near future unless investment is made in flood defense.
This should be obvious to any intelligent person by now.
If major effort to protect the area is not being undertaken, then I can only conclude some form of criminal conspiracy.
Don't forget this is our children's future food supplies and their lives that they are playing with.

Well I watched Norman Lamb and keith Stimpson in the House committee on the flood issue.
I have to admit they both made force full remarks.
The Minister however totally avoided the issue and said the government through DEFRA was doing enough already.
He is to visit the area though, so perhaps we can arrange a welcome for him.
I shall ignore the irrelevant racist threads and hope this issue remains in the top of the thread list where it belongs.
I suggest others make sure the scum do not divert things again.
By doing so they are playing with the lives and futures of your children.

Hi Everybody.
Just thought I'd drop one in.
Hi Jamie, seen your "boat trip" in the latest Norfolk mag, funny how you imagine people to look like, and with a name like Jamie, thought you'd be a 21 year old stud, although I have been well informed by JK that age is not the problem !?
I am, like you Jamie a bit confused as to how the "wash barrier" could affect Norfolk, and even more amused as to the "proclamation" that flood defences for Norfolk will be defended for the "next 50 years", my personal opinion is that they will do a financial fudge and the only thing you will end up with is "We can't afford it so lump it".
One has been in the "so called" privlidged position to work for my local council and the "political / financial fudges" that take place, are one for personel consumption and not for this site ie bacon !!!
Diving suit anyone !?

Not interested in the people of Norfolk drowning then Glass?
Not another one who is miffed about Boris getting in.
Are you not sick to death of Norfolk being run by an OBN made up of unelected quangos who answer to nobody but rule over the people with a rod of greed.
I have said it time and again, the place is a throw back to medieval times, with self serving swine who would see people drown to maintain their sick control.

Where did that come from? My comment was in response to your illiterate drivel.
Not another one who is miffed about Boris getting in. Did I mention Boris? Another comment plucked from the depths of your weird and wonderful imagination.

Hello everybody !?
Can one just step in before someone gets FLOODED in the head !?
I think it is a well known fact that the BA are UNELECTED, one thinks everybody including the local and national media are aware, marshans on Mars will now be aware ( Kieth ) for this reason the "Broads bill" was stopped, please leave this alone you are boring the CRAP out of one !?
One is now calm.
As far as Boris is concerned one does not give a flying ..... one does NOT reside in London !

Wrong Paul.
The Broads Bill was dropped because for the first time in Norfolk,s history, people kept the pressure up on their lords and masters until something was done.
You give up if you wish to paul, others will not.
True, it had to be the very real risk of watching their children drown for the sake of the self seeking greed merchants but at least change is starting to happen.
DEFRA seems to be the next enemy.

Like "The Wash Barrier" POSSIBLY, or maybe you could invent something !!!?
Paul H ( And it is my REAL name )
Ps:- Maybe Spec Savers have issue's you'd like to start on, then start a new thread !?

Hi jamie ( Again )
Not sure how to put this but, one has been reading through some of the old postings and, to put it bluntly, your reference to "Speakers Corner" is like telling Sam Smiths to buy John Smiths ?
I have serious issue's with individuals who can shout about an individual or organisation, then blow sunshine like it has never been blown before because certain ( JP ) people are within ear shot ?
If you can't put your name to your postings, and HE knows who I'm talking about, don't sit there blowing your horn, two faced, is what I call it !?
OR
As the man said "you did for s..t what stone did for Stone Henge" let you work that one out ?
Regards Jamie
Paul

Exactly john.
The fundamental problem is the UNELECTED people who are running Norfolk and defining its future.
This is not acceptable.
What possible justification is there for locals paying taxes to Westminster when they have no say in the future of the area.
Perhaps Norman Lamb and Keith Simpson would like to force change.
Their political positions are at risk if they do not.
