When you get real and stop dreaming and come up with viable solutions that can and will be adaptable to modern living and life today, I will be all for it

Your ramblings about a pollution free dream utopia are pathetic especially when you do not seem to mind polluting the air around you with noxious substances, yet pontificate to others.

Anyway, this thread is about the security risk at Norwich Airport, not another plug for the Greens.

Isn't it just. Norwich airport would be much more secure if it was replaced by affordable housing.
Norwich International says it all, provincial pretences on a badly planned and developed airport.
I do not pollute the air at all apart from comes natural, but your image of a blonde zipping along in a mercedes does not hold up to scrutiny either.

Far from  asking to justify yourselfs, soon you will have to pay the real costs for your jollies, not travel on the back of other taxpayers. nevermind

How you come to that conclusion just shows how off the wall you are

Get it right nevermind, blonde in a BMW and we pay as much tax in our wages as everyone else

You obviously cannot smell the fug that surrounds you but others can and it stinks.

So you don't like housing either, not a conclusion but the idea of amny others, not just myself, which shows how much you know about the issue.

Another 24ct gold idea - Were you in your shed when you thought that one up?   It's like saying cyclists would be safer if they all rode tricycles.  Or the roads would be safer if we shot all drivers.

However, you do "pollute" this forum with a lot of drivel.   Which, of course, comes naturally to you.

Excellent idea building houses on Norwich airport. Then develop the old RAF Coltishall site into an airport. Slap in the NDR in between. All in all creating houses and jobs north of Norwich. Job's a good un.

Re: Recent security breach at Norwich Airport

For many years Norwich International has served as a valuable ( if expensive) link to Aberdeen and Schiphol for people who needed to travel to work in an industry that was once pretty big in this region. Using NI as an airport for package holidays did at least keep it open and save Norfolk workers a drive to Stansted although increasing flights just for hols is not realy justifiable environmentally. As for the housing surrounding the airport-not a problem, an unmanned gate is an unmanned gate, And there is no point in building more and more houses north of Norwich if they are going to be occupied by retirees from the Home Counties or Norfolk people displaced by second/holiday home owners-let's solve that problem first..Any more house building on open countryside around Norwich should be justified by clearly defined need and availability of work for the occupants. There are still areas closer to Norwich city centre which could be used for Danish style apartment complexes ( eg some of the very old low density council housing estates with big gardens could be redeveloped) before we start on yet another Thorpe Marriot splatting as far as Reepham.

NWI are advertising for staff - you need 5 verifiable employer references 'for security reasons'.

Yeah, good luck finding someone that has 5 checkable references that is likely to either be suitable for the job or is wanting to do it in the first place!

That lets all the potential terrorists in then.

They are sure to have the references.
