hi guys
watched your link eddie very interesting but a bit heavy for abeginner in almost everything spiritual, even though i have left my body once and was looking down on myself from a corner and i heard a voice say are you ready, next thing i was back and awake saying no im darn well not did not seeany white light or anything elsejust me, its never happened since, i think i had just broken up after a relationship as a teenager, which isthe worst time in yourlife so i just linked it with that
jitters!!!!

Hi Sans
There are times that I have alot of trouble with You Tube. During the day there are so many people using the internet. That is when you can have problems with it working slow. Also just after the little darlings get home from school. In this time the videos keep stop & starting.
Try some of the other links that is on the right hand side of screen. I found loads of different links on Utube to Astral travel. OBE's. Some I will admit that I have heard some trance music with the name Astral Travel on Utube. So be wary of those. Pretty good music though.

Hi All..i think i have said before on this forum, that when i was a kid my mum had what we know call" astral travel"... she says that she woke, and floated over to the window, and looked out of it, then turned and saw her body laying on the bed, so she floated back to it, she said she had a" casper ghost "wispy tail on her..she was sure that she experienced this. She also mentioned it for the first time in years, when i visited her the other day, she says no one will ever convince her that this was imagination. She has also over the years frequently had her name called, and i often heard her shout "yeah?" and id say "What?" and she'd say "did you call me?" it became quite a joke between us. My uncle said [when i was a kid] that he had felt unwell in bed one night , but couldnt tell my aunt, he tried to get out of bed, and ended up hanging there, unable to move, he said he'd then felt himself move through a tunnel and came out into a beautiful brightly coloured garden, he felt so content and peaceful, and just kept walking, and looking around, he then appeared to be in his bed with my aunt trying to get him comfortable again, and he told her he felt unwell, she called the doc and he pronounced that he had had a small stroke...my uncle was gobsmacked and stunned as he told us about this.

im sure your mum had excactly what she explained, what a great experiance.
i have always wanted to do this but a little scared if im truthfull.
maybe i wont be ably to get back to my body lol.
i expect i would, but hey it would just be my luck.
what you uncle saw sounds like the perfect place, when he had the stoke, can i ask if the doctors think he actualy died and came back...?
would be intresting to know.
my nan used to have a special gift by reading tea leaves, she was so acurate in everything she saw.
my mum has always had the ability to see spirits with her very eyes. many times when she was young she saw relitives and strangers that she did not know.....
when my mum was young , there was her, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers, and her mum and dad, and on few accousions her uncle and her auntie, they all sat around the table, (as in them days there was no tele, and comps) and done the ouiji board. now the way my mum describes how they did this was very very different to how we do it today.
no words were spoken at all, not even a prayer,.
fingers were placed on the glass, nothing was said, they just waited for the glass to move and spell out words or sentensces, when all around the table agreed the spirit had finished saying their word or sentance, they would discuss what to ask then they would all together move the glass themselves to ask the questions to the letters they wanted, then return the glass to the middle of the board and wait for an answer. this my mum said is how they used to do this. they heard all kinds of noises a had things happened very often.
in my opion this is quite a good way.
did it this way with my mum last summer, i think it was, and the glass did move, and the way it moved was like a whole different way, errm hard to explain, but it really felt strong. not quick at all, it moved very very slow, but the feeling was so wired.
has anyone ever heard of this way before?

Sounds like an amazing thing that your Mum experienced. I have never experienced anything like it but I have heard from a person that have had an OBE that it is wonderful & something that can never be forgot.

You dont have to download You tube videos to Media Player. You can watch them stait from the Utube site. Most will play instantly, others you just have to click the video screen for them to play.

Only on Most Haunted do you see the glass whizzing around the board at 100 miles an hour.
All the spirit contacts that I have seen, useing a glass. The glass move quite slow.
I would be interested if anyone on the forum have got a glass moving like the MH team.

Thanks for sharing that. My Mum once told me that she got up during the night to go to the toilet and for some reason popped her head round the door of the lounge and saw her husband sat on the sofa - only he was still in bed!

I realise that it is not necessary to download in order to watch. Did not know whether windows media player was interferring with the process of viewing? It is still the same - broken up...thanks though
SUGGESTIONS???
I wonder if it is possible to consider that an apparition/ghost might also possibly be someone out astral travelling? Apart from those that can see and hear who can get clues to dress and period of apparitions - what about those that sense but cannot see - how is it possible to determine otherwise?

Another way of mediumship is.
CLAIRGUSTANCE.
A sence of taste.
The person may have a favorate food. The spirit could bring this taste sence into action.
There could be other tastes. Maybe of what had killed the person or what they had in their mouths.
Sick, drink sweet. As in choking
Blood. As in an accident or other trauma. Biting of tounge. losing teeth.
These can be be senced by Clairgustance.
These tastes may be brought on by a spirit, as prove to the living. Even if the spirit is well in the spirit world.
Also smell is another form of mediumship. (I would be happy if someone could give me a name for this type of mediumship) As in Most Farted. Giggle
No No!!!!!
A smell can be like.
Cigarette smoke. Flowers. Favorite Foods. Scent. Sick. Blood. Body odour.
These smells can be nice & nasty
What ever the spirit can bring as prove to the living.

Hi Eddie,
Once again thanks for your answer it was a good read.
I agree with everything about the various ways that spirit can make themselves known to us. I would suggest that not all spirits do though. There are photos showing spirit being captured on film or that is what we are led to think, here I am disussing those very famous well known photos of the dead being caught on film when they are not even evident to the person filming - who by the way are there to capture these unusual photos and only get to see what they have captured upon viewing afterwards :)
The point is...those type of spirits that don't necessarily give of anything that we can detect them by might be, for instance, any one of us out astral travelling. There are many cases recorded where astral travellers have been seen by the person they went to see and as far as i am aware, none of these have documented anything about smells, tastes, etc, some astral travellers have been able to move very light objects also and thus providing some form of proof, however, not all apparently are able. Others often talk about seeing or sensing a presence.
Again, we can discuss the near death experience whereby those in times of trauma will leave their bodies and visit their loved ones here and in the spirit world, often returning following a profound experience that stays with them. Those in this world would probably get a shock and fear the worst - but, they are still very much alive...some we know are not. So, how do we discriminate between ghostly apparitions that may provide us clues to those that don't and those beings that are astral travelling?
An interesting thought Eddie, what do we really mean by spirit? It has been described as many things...soul, entity, consciousness, ghoul, etc but, when we are out travelling is it not say our spirit that is travelling that which keeps us connected to all things in this world and others?
So many questions :)
As for the correct word in terms of mediumship (smelling), I cannot help...sorry

I must say Sans thatI dont know enough about Astral Travel to answer this one. I have never heard of anyone been seen during astral Travel. I have heard of them telling people about what they had said while they had been out of body.
If they had been seen then thats a new one on me. Not to mention very interesting.
What I look at as being a spirit, is the soul & only the soul.
I do not believe in the Devil as the monster that he has been portayed by man, or in demons. I concider them as spirits of evil.
After all. Lucy was concidered the most beautiful of all angels. He wouldnt have grown horns & a tail over night.
Lucy. 'Hey. I'm growing a tail. Now Ive got horns & whats going on with my skin, Ive turned red now.'
But then. I shoud not talk about that kind of thing. What I believe & what other people believe, could be put down as chalk & cheese.
We all have our believes. We all have to live with them. If we didnt question, we wouldnt be human.

I have had some small success trying various methods suggested within the book. my friend and I set up an experiment. I was to try and visit. It was agreed that 4 or 5 numbers, visibly readable be put on cupboard door and I was to read and then report back. I got three numbers out of four correct, not in the correct order though, and I also got a splitting headache afterwards :)
Funny thing about this experiment, a small window was left open for three days, easy access for me in case I ran into difficulties gaining entry :) I don't recall how I got there - I simply was there - instantaneous...the next stage of the experiment will not need to have the window open :)

I'm still looking at this forum & liking the new look even more.
All we need now is an edit button. OK. That would be chocolate with cream on top. So I will settle for just chocolate. Oh what the heck. I like chocolate. So who needs cream.
