Re: The Dangers Of Using A ouija Board

Hi Richard K,

But if they are so dangerous, with everyone who has used one (numbering thousands at a conservative estimate) producing an evil spirit or demon, why isn't the country over run by these things?

The maths simply does not stack up.

Going back to my original posts on this thread, any effects of using the board appear to be psychological. Granted, this is no less comfort to those having problems with this, but this remains the fact of the matter.

Kind Regards

Mark D.

Hi Mark, in answer to your question,  some people are just lucky, they have not opened the door to evil spirits ect  yet !! and the others have  live  in fear of whatever they have let into their homes or contact people like us to send them back to wherever they came from.

Hi Richard K,

Alas, that is just too convenient I'm afraid.

This type of approach is simply scaremongering and perhaps why people have problems in the first place.

Kind Regards

Mark D.

Re: The Dangers Of Using A ouija Board

I work as a medium and Ouija Boards don't require any qualifications to use one correctly it's not a recognised form of divination, they are merely another parlour game you don't have to be qualified to play monopoly do you?? The power of suggestion is a very powerful and complex thing, negative thoughts and feelings will result in negative energy, you will not be haunted by an evil entity, Just many stories over the years that create fear of a toy...

And blimey charging for a spiritual clearence, a new one on me.....

Cheers.

Re: The Dangers Of Using A ouija Board

We have come across many of these so called non believers, Trying to convince or even getting them to understand is near impossible, yet there have been many of this type of person that when they decided to try the spirit world and mediums out,  suddenly become interested, saying things like "how ever did they know that",  this also came into effect on a dieing man who we visited, when he told us, a medium would have been the last person he would have turned to for help, and yet he admitted where everything else had failed the medium had come through 100%, he admitted that he wish he had got involved and learnt more some yrs before. Although there was little to be done to save this mans life he told us he was at ease with an unbelievable presents along with calmness.

Many none believers have changed there minds when visiting mediums, we are talking about vicars, solicitors, bank managers etc etc, this are what we would call the not so vulnerable type, and yet they all leave with an entire different attitude.and happy to return again and again..

Granted there are some out there pretending to be mediums and its those that give the spirit world a bad name, as does the  media and TV programs that are a total  scam.

And so the argument goes on and on and on ..........

Re: The Dangers Of Using A ouija Board

Hi Tee Bee,

Not sure where this fits in with a discussion on the alleged ‘Dangers of using a Quija board’.

There is no evidence to support the paranormal, if there was, it would not be paranormal – Q.E.D.

Using words such as believer / disbeliever smacks of religious over tones – implying faith. Is a Quija board about religious faith?

I repeat my previous comments towards the top of the thread, none of the ‘effects’ of using the board described thus far indicates a source that does not fall outside the realms of psychological cause.

To pick up on another point, Ouija boards are seen by occultists as a means of communication with the spirit world, I’m not sure if this use is included under divination of the context used earlier by Richard B.

Kind Regards

Mark D.

Re: The Dangers Of Using A ouija Board
hi Mark so if you think ouija boards are not dangerous, why then were they banned by toyshops ect in the 70s... because  the general public  were contacting evil spirits ect and causing problems..

Re: The Dangers Of Using A ouija Board

Hi Richard K,

But Ouija Boards were never banned from sale in the UK (or anywhere else for that manner) - its just one of the many myths that surround them today.

You can still purchase them from commercial outlets today.

Kind Regards

Mark D.

Re: The Dangers Of Using A ouija Board
I would say the only danger would be a psychologicial one, again in regards to the power of suggestion, and mark it's nice to see a balanced approach like yours, and for me my mediumship isn't about religion in anyway shape or form I have an ability to commune with people who have died and left their physical selves, I am not a christian or catholic nor muslim, My belief is that our souls continue on in another form which is energy.

Re: The Dangers Of Using A ouija Board

I for one would not want to take any chances with the Ouija board, I cannot see its worth by placing yourself or your loved ones in danger, just for the sake of playing a game.

If one using it believes, then they must believe in its effects and dangers, if ones does not believe then why use it in the first place, either way what is the point..

Re: The Dangers Of Using A ouija Board

Tee Bee,

But they do not place people in danger, loved ones or not.

A lot of the bad press originated from christian fundamentalist group and Hollywood - if they are dangerous where is the evidence? There is none, just anecdotal foaf tales.

As an aside, one of the most amusing things I see today is people posting on forums warning of the dangers then recommending people to use Angel Boards instead. They are one and the same. Its a funny old world.

Kind Regards

Mark D.

Re: The Dangers Of Using A ouija Board

What amuses me is the fact that time and time again credance is given to this type of alledged communication with spirit, why would a powerful spirit need a glass on a board to communicate if so powerful, why ???

Why do people using this types of thing never go for real proof and use touch sensitive [ads on the glass and between their fingers...why...becuase t would tell you exaclty what is really happening... NOW I HAVE SEEN THE REAL EFFECTS OF WHAT OCCURS WHEN PEPOLE MESS WITH THEIR MINDS...AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!!

Derren brown and friends have also shown this up for what it is...and what is being done here is nothing more than perpetuating the myth of the ouija board...its money for old rope and whats more, monopoly is more fun !!!!
