Wink [;)] Re: Visit to Strangers hall!
Hi all..enjoyed my time with you all!  And what a beautiful place!   My camera [new] decided not to work even before we got in there and it had brand new batteries...so i got...zilch!! really annoyed!  amy said she felt emotional in most of the rooms, there was only one room where she felt comfortable?  I personally found some rooms to feel quite oppressive...and in the whole place i felt as if i was disoriented, and that i was walking on rubber instead of floor boards,...at the end Amy said she felt washed out, but i dont think she reacted as badly as she had at Bridewell, but she said she wouldnt want to go back there, even though it was beautiful to look at?

Re: Visit to Strangers hall!

Hi All

What a beautiful place the Strangers Hall is. A wonderful museum.

I had a felt a few spiritual sensations about the place but not as strong as The Bridewell.

Certain rooms had a coolness to them, others felt closed in & almost claustrophobic.

I will have to say that without doubt Paul got the star exibit of the day. A flashing orb with a wave of light coming from it, the wave of light swept quickly right across the room.

It certainly renewed my beliefs in orbs as spiritual & not just all dust. (Not that I believed in all orbs being dust anyway) The film footage is amazing & would possibly give the most hardened sceptic a headace, as far as coming up with a sceptical answer.

Well done Paul for coming up with goods on that one.

Hi Jenny

Ive looked at the photo of the picture, with you standing next to it & yes there is a likness to you. When I get enough photos on my camera to download on to computer I will be sending it to you.

Best wishes

Eddie

I did get a photo of an orb on camera but it is very small & more likely to be just dust.

Guess who got her first ever orbs on camera then? Well done that girl.

I think on the day the most interesting thing that happened to me spiritualy was walking though that arch by the Madder Market & feeling decidedly drunk.

I was more than a bit shocked when I found out about the monk being drunk.

I'm not going to say what he did to get excommunicated. Giggle

WEEEEEeeeeeEEEEeeeeeeeEEEEEE.                 Sorry. That was my Crazy Frog impression.

Best wishes

Eddie

Hi Linda

Its strange about the camera battery situation.

Jenny at the bridwell & now you at the Strangers.

May be those little spirit raskels hiding in the background are having fun with us.

Whos camera bateries are for the high jump next time I wonder.

Its begining to get that it might be a good idea bringing two sets of bateries with us all, just in case.

Best wishes

Eddie

Re: Visit to Strangers hall!

Hey guys!

Paul is very chuffed about his footage. We've looked at it frame by frame trying to work out what the light could be. But seeing as the artificial light was stationary and the natural light didn't come that far into the room, it could very well be something ghostly.

Personally, I did not like the small room above the undercroft. I was thinking about the taste I had in my mouth and I think, as morbid as it sounds, it may have been blood. And trust me my mouth wasn't bleeding. Then someone pulled my hair when we were sitting in the reception area.

Linda, hope Amy is okay! Send her my love!

Jes xx

Re: Visit to Strangers hall!

Hi Jess, Hi Paul

I have been thinking about the video footage that you got on Saturday of the orb.

All of the orbs that I have seen on film is moving around. The one that you caught was stationary & then with the wave of light coming out from it.

Now I have seen a light reflection orbs & they are always stationary. But light reflected orbs do no pulsate on & off. Nor do they give off waves of light across a room.

So I feel that what you have caught on video footage, just maybe unique.

It would be great if you could put it on Utube. I feel that alot of people would be amazed by it

I dont know if you put things on Utube or not.

Not a bad catch for your first time out ghosthunting with a camcorder.

Best wishes

Eddie

Re: Visit to Strangers hall!

Hi All,

I have been following your posts with fascination.  It seems that strangers hall is providing more than the Brideswell.  Does Strangers Hall have any reputed ghost stories attached to it?  Would you know Ed?  Even if it does'nt, it seems strange that so many of you all experienced something and even managed to capture the unusual - I would like to keep an open mind therefore I would not put down your experiences to over active imagination.  Are you planning on a return trip?

I was impressed with reading abut Pauls pulsating orb and would like to be able to view it.  Paul, could you please consider Utube so we can all view it?

Draining of batteries - that usually is a good sign of paranormal activity.  Question, it was a new camera, but were the batteries fully charged?  Better to take spares next time.  I had that happen to me and batteries were fully charged.  When I reached the location, the camera's batteries were flat - it is so frustrating when that happens.  But, ironically, as we left this place, I decided to have another go with the camera and it allowed me to take one shot before going flat again.  That one picture produced a shiny, glowing orb.  That location is a disused air base.

I found it interesting to read personal accounts of things such as Jenny feeling like she was floating, another talked about tasting blood and a feeling of uncomfortableness.  I have seen Jenny's photos and agree that on two she has caught something.

Thanks

Sans

Re: Visit to Strangers hall!

hi eddie

you know the two names you came up with, ive done a bit of digging, there was a Richard Williamson the first name you came up with who use to be a brewer,in Thetford but use to visit Norwich to sell his wares, thats all i have  on him right now, also Catherine Turner died 1923 and was a potter, which is really amazing as you said you felt like you had arthritis in your right wrist, must do more poking, hope that helps, oh what a wise man you are indeed !!!!!

Hi guys. I'll see if Paul will put the vid up on youtube when he gets home.

Is the plan for Saturday to look around the whole castle or just the dungeons?

Re: Visit to Strangers hall!

Hi Richard

There is only one floor in you flash reflection idea. We were not alowed to use flash photograpy in the museum. Non of the photographs that was taken by Jenny was flash assisted

Of cause it could be that you are talking about the lights in the room causing the light reflection orb.

I got a couple of light reflected orbs in the Catacombes but these lights I could not esscape from, as they were in the picture at the same time.

The lights in the room when Jenny got her orb were high up in the ceiling.

On the photo that you sent Jenny, you used the picture on the wall as a flash point & then the reflected orb from the flash point. And whats this about the flash spill, Jenny was not useing flash.

Do you have any other ideas as to the orb? It does not seem as if your ideas tally, with how the photo was taken. No Flash

Best wishes

Eddie
