I would not say that the spirit gets any weaker, its just that its living in a different realm to ours. Your idea of moving up the ladder is correct Your thoughts of not letting your daughter have regression is a good one. I think that she is too young for that, as yet. Let her memorries devellop naturaly. Sounds like she has been reincarnated from that time & place., In the case of going to a place & recognise it, allthough never been there before. Some of these thoughts can come from dreams, if everything is modern in the dream.  When oldy worldy in the dream & that they can be remembered (houses long since knocked down) & proven true that they once stood there, in my experience it would be reincarnation. 11/05/2008, 6:40 AM Sans Joined on 04/01/2005 North Norfolk Posts 179 Re: APPARITIONS V SCIENCE Hi Ed, On one of these occassions I was.  The other occassion I felt myself go.  I saw my life flash past me within seconds and knew.  I recall that I did not take long to resign myself to the fact that this was it (quite sad really) but I felt to struggle would not be good and remember leaving my body before I lost consciousness :) I agree with what you have said regarding the hypnotherapist and on reflection am glad that I did not take it any further.  Curiosity hey. I understand what your saying about different religions and your views too.  As a non-practising catholic, I still share your views and time has caused me to reevaluate my thinking, my beliefs and consider what is out there.  This third place that you talk about is also known as limbo or purgatory to the RC's and I have always thought of it as a kind of place where you go to when the players are deciding up or down!  Now, I see things differently. Regarding reincarnation - how do you think it might be possible for past thoughts, memories and emotions to exist in a new life?  I am asking this as it links back to my earlier post of are we able to retain any known physical properties after death...and would you consider thoughts, memories and emotions to be physical? 11/05/2008, 10:34 AM jenny Joined on 27/02/2008 norfolk Posts 228 Re: APPARITIONS V SCIENCE Hi Sans Eddie i cant remember when my daughter started to say things about memories, she was very young, to me its part of her, when we have been or heard of a place she always remembers it as it use to be, there would of been horse and carts no electric poles and lots of cattle grazing, sans she has always drawn ever since she could hold a pencil, and some of the things she has wriitten are quite amazing, with so much feeling and emotion, she has always been very sensitive to human, animal and environment, which i can only hope continues on to the next thing do we recognize people from past lives, i have encountered people just like spookfan, who we get on with straight away, as if they are part of us already and have always been there, or is this just another type ofconnection!!! jitters    Report

The second paragraph is very intriguing.  Well, perhaps others may be able to answer this one better than I.  Perhaps it is possible to recognise others from past existences - I have come across babies that have that something extra about them, they look wise!!! or you get the impression that they are old souls. Again, Like most people, I have met people I feel instantly comfortable and yet feel like you have known them forever.  Don't know if this is recognition or not.  Another example would be simply seeing someone and feeling an instant dislike to them...I wonder if this can all be put down to our ability to read anothers energy or aura?  As in, like attracts like and vice versa. Then there are the one off occasions when you meet and fall in love - yep, your soul partner.  Is this a question of the heart searching over time for this person or is it recognition of refinding each other? Thus when people talk of energy work they are linking with your aura to see what they can pick up. Thus if you are sensitive you can often pick up on how a person is feeling and whether sometimes if you will get on with them or not. This is very much what we call a gut feeling or instinct. When feeling strong they will have a strong aura. Hi Sans Usualy these thoughts of past lives are repressed or hidden in the subconcience. Then there could be something that triger them off. Dreams, Hypnoses, An accident, Near death experience. Going though a bad emotional time. Some people never remember their past lives. Hi Jenny I liked that one. 'Pit stop.' 13/05/2008, 8:28 AM Sans Joined on 04/01/2005 North Norfolk Posts 179 Re: APPARITIONS V SCIENCE Hi Dave, Ed, Jenny & Spookfan, Thank you for giving me a clearer understanding regarding energy and aura's.  Going back to basic biology - our bodies are mainly composed of liquid and to regulate automatically the functioning of the body such as breathing, heart, etc...electricity.  So, is energy a product of this double combination?  If it is, do you think it feasible to suggest that it (the energy/aura) is also at the same time much more than biological?  Is it the link that connects us to everything else - physical and spiritual?  Better stop here before my brain takes one massive leap into the unknown!!! Regarding reincarnation I have to agree with you Eddie... My belief is that our soul and our energy/life force are one and the same; its whats connects us to this realm and the next. Thus when our physical bodies give up the ghost (sorry for the pun lol) so to speak, then our life force goes to the spirit realm ready for the next stage (maybe reincarnation) whatever that may be.
