What the hell has a general election got to do with rising european fascism since 9/11? I know our media only concentrate on the lives of half wit royals but there are other media sources available to you. You might discover just how serious the situation is getting. Or maybe not, Chamberlain was a bit slow on the uptake too. Something to do with being English and pretending the outside world doesn't exist and everybody loves us, it's one of our least admirable cultural traits. Yes the BNP are impotent in this area, in other areas where they are stronger and active there have been considerable rises in racist attacks. Some people think politics is nothing but electoral process, thats just bizarre. But as you like. Laughing.    Report

Call it naïve by all means, and I do take your point regarding the fluff that most of the mainstream media put out, but I still say that the overwhelming majority of Brits hold no truck with parties such as the BNP, they are too busy just trying to get by on ever diminishing incomes.  To me your shrill denunciation of them smacks of a child screaming to its parents at night because they think the boogie-man is under their bed.    Report
