Could it be that you tried too hard when you atempted astral travel?
After you had relaxed & then no longer thought about it so hard, The memmories of astral travel was still fresh in your mind.
Hence not thinking about it so hard caused the OBE naturaly from memory.
Just a thought
About the book
Yes. When or if I finish it. I have had thoughts of the six year old boy, being at the age of nine. in another story. This one slightly a bit more beefed up than the last story.

When doing automatic hand writing, relax as much as posible.
Dont expect the voices to be heard in your ears. The key is hearing it from the back of your head. The voices are exactly like natural thought waves.
Obviously keep your eyes open at all times. write down on to paper what ever comes to your mind.
Ask at the beginning. Does any one want to speak with me? repeat this a few times & see if you get a thought wave. Write each thought wave down on paper
You may find that the thoughts will come to you realy quickly, or they may come slowly. I found that it started slowly & then speeded up after doing it for a few times.
I was told that a link had to be made before the writting got faster.
Some people say that they can do automatic writing using the computer keyboards but you have to be quite a quick typist.
When you get no more thoughts, look at what you have writen down.
You will possibly see that what you have written down is nothing like what you would have normaly have written down or thought off.
Thats when you know that something interesting has happened.

Hi Eddie,
Astral Travel - I totally agree with you about the need to relax and not to concentrate too hard on going :)
Your Book - I am sure, will get finished. It appears that you could have many sequels from age 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 and on into adulthood. I am going to PCWorld to see if i can purchase that headphone/talking device. I wonder if the spell check will highlight erms and ahs?
Automatic Writing - I took you up on your suggestion this morning Eddie. Just to be safe i requested assistance, protection, light and love before and closed down safely afterwards. So, while everything was peaceful and still I got a result. My thinking seemed to be located at the top and front of my head, once i relaxed into it i focused on the back of the head. A male called Jeremiah talked to me, he stated that he was not my guide, he talked about time and about how many were moving to help me etc. His voice i did not hear as it was impressed as thoughts only. I did at one point detect the strength in his personality - if that is at all possible/understandable?
Is there any way of ruling out the possibility of having an internal dialogue with oneself when practising this method? I guess i would like to ensure that i was not simply chatting with myself :)

The key is to look at what you have written afterwards. If it is something that you would not have written from your own thoughts or never had any thoughts of this kind, then chances are you are in contact with spirit.
I find it interesting that you said that you felt strength. In circle we were told that one of the ways that you can tell if you are in contact with spirit is what you feel while channeling.
If you are a man & you channel a woman you will feel a different femenine sensation.
If you are a woman & you channel a man. You will feel strength & other masculin atributes
Also to watch out for sutle body changes.
Woman. Breasts are a typical sign. Thats a strange feeling for a man. LOL.
Man. Strength
As you got a feeling of strength, chances are that you were channeling.
The point that you said that he said that he was NOT your spirit guide is another teller. Chances are that if these thoughts were coming from your head, you would have had the inclin that he was your spirit guide. You stated that his was not the case.
Good to here that you are protecting yourself. Also thanking spirit for what you have picked up afterwards

Hi Sans... You asked about astral projection? If that is the same as an out of body experience...my mum had one years ago. She told us about it[her family], and all these years later she still to this day, says she remembers it. And also my "uncle" had one too, but i think years back, they werent too sure what it was!

Hi Eddie,
Thanks for explaining further.
I did look at what i had written and even though they were short sentences - they did not apear to be my thoughts because of the way they were spoken. They had a quality of being from another time (no pun intended).
It initially started with the word and image of sunflowers - that was totally out of context. The rest seemed to have some sort of logical order - although the sentences were fragmented.
I presume/assume that we all have a spirit guide? Only, i don't have a clue who mine is.
Yes, i did feel the strength of this Jeremiah. He said LISTEN TO ME, that was assertiveness and what i described as a strength. I have since looked up in your favourite Wikipedia and was shocked to see that the meaning of the name Jeremiah = God Exalts. Apparently, he was a prophet and was frustrated because people would not listen to him - the goosebumps grew on top of each other :) Some wee connection or coincidence?
I tried it again using the same protection - it was much different this time. I was aware of a lightness/tingling from my shoulders up, mostly concentrated in the head area, my head felt slightly expanded - other parts of my anatomy were unaffected. I got the impression that it was very busy, nothing coherent. I gave my thanks, etc and that was that.
Would be interested to hear yur thoughts on this Eddie.

There are times that a spirit will bring what is called a gift for the person channeling, or for the person a medium is channeling for. Mostly these are flowers. Hit for you No 1.
When I work with spirit the first sign is of tingling, then cool to cold sensations seeping down from the top of my head to the back of my head & then tingling down the spine. Thats hit for you No 2.
Sometimes a channel is week. As is spirit not stonge enough for a clear link. Thats hit for you No3
Thats not bad is it.
I would say that you are with out doubt channeling spirit. everything that you have descibed are very strong evidence to this.
One other thing that has to be adressed is the fact that you said that the writing has been fragmented. This could be because you are only starting with automatic handwriting.
A link has to be forged. Doing auto handwriting after a while will strenthen that link. These are baby steps for you. You have to learn to walk before you can run.
After doing auto handwriting for awhile, this will stenthen that link & it will become stronger.
By the way. You have already felt that cool cold tingly sensation from your head. You will find that when visit a haunted house in future, chances are that if you relax & do the same as you do for automatic handwriting, you will get that same feeling of spirit.
I have been to places & I have had no inclin that a place is haunted. However when I get those feelings I have a good clue that something is about. Usualy after the visit I will ask weather the place is haunted & not very often I am wrong about my hunch.
Your thoughts on Jeremiah. That was not a hit for you I;m afraid. That was a whole stonking battleship sunk. Giggle.
Its amazing the electic sensations that you feel when you get evidece of what you experience

hi, i have never had or tried an obe.
but would like to.
i was told that if a family or friend writes something on a piece of paper and leaves it somewhere, then say for example i, can try and have an obe and travel to the persons house, read what they have written, and come back, and telephone them and tell them what they had written.
has anyone done this?
sounds fun.
but does this need protection, what happenes if u dont come back lol (sorry but i dont know what happens)
is this safe to just go and try.
not sure if i like the sound of this.
is it just a mind thing.
but then how would that important piece of paper be read?

I have not heard of this happening with an OBE. I have heard of this happening with remote viewing.
Remote viewing is when a phychic makes a strong link & can see what is in a persons house, what the front & back garden looks like. Although he or she has never been there in their life.
Some have seen a written messages, drawings & picked up what a person is thinking about. As in experiments.
The person who the phychic is to read is given a subject & then have to think about it, write about it or draw it. It is the phychics job to guess what has been written, drawed, or what the person has has been told to think about.
There has been some majour hits in this field, however there has been more mistakes than hits. Lets just say that the mediums that I have seen doing this(in life & on TV) have been close but not exact.
To OBEs
No you do not need to do protection as such, as you are not working with spirit. Well technicly not true, you are working with your own spirit.
I must say that I do not know too much in this field but some experts on OBEs say that you can not stray for too long from your body. As it is mentioned that the body is attached to a type of umilical cord to your spirit. So your spirit will always be able to get back to your body.
I myself am not sure if I believe this or not, it sounds a little too wild for me.

Re: OBE's - I have tried and was only aware once of partially leaving my body - that was an earlier post.
I have read that it is possible to obtain information while out travelling and it is not thought to be confined to remote viewing only. For example, if you have been 'consciously' able to leave your physical body, you may choose to visit a friend, not to frighten them, just to see what was happening, you might be able to cofirm by viewing the time their end also and by providing other details. I guess the problem that occurs here is that of respecting anothers right to privacy etc.
Many books discuss the need to confine your travelling to your room or house initially so that you become accustomed to the body, thinking and travel.
I personally would want to take caution and would request assistance from a guide or a loved one to be with you while travelling. I would suggest that the possibility for good & bad to co-exist is very real and with this thought in mind would want to be protected.
As long as you remain alive you are suppossedly connected by a cord - thought is also talked about as being instantaneous. You may be a thousand miles from home, but then you wonder about your body and your instantly back.
These are some things i have picked up from reading.
