Cherie Blair - who voted for her

Are you, like me, totally sick of Cherie Blair and her poor poor me attitude
As someone who has been foisted on us purely because of her husbands' career, why should we have to put up with her money grabbing, complaining and moaning, time and time again.
What has she contributed apart from turning up to functions as a spouse. She had so much going for her as a qualified woman in her own right but she has let greed take over any credibility and respect for her achievements in her own field.
Compared with the role Dennis Thatcher played for Maggie, she comes across as a harriden, free loader and only out to feather her own nest, yet acts precious and downtrodden when made to conform and confess her wrongdoings.
I just want her to spend her money to ensure her privacy and ours by never entering into public life.
Good riddance.

Well, at the risk of gratuitous vulgarity (which nas never been my style), one has to say that one wouldn't want to give her one, so to speak.
Whatever one was?
Amd whatsover it was, one certainly would never want to give her two.

I know exactly what you mean Scary.
Why is it that most of these famous men have such ugly women.
We must be doing something wrong.
If you did give her a couple you would probably be Prime Minister.
The smiling goon could never have made it without her.

Cherie Blair is a remarkable woman who through entirely her own hard work and intelligence overcame a poor and unpromising background to become a leading QC. Unlike Cameron and his Tory Toffs she actually had to work to get where she is today. They and the right wing press hate her because she is a mouthy working class girl who gives as good as she gets and won`t sit quietly at home as all women are supposed to do. I suspect the only women they ever felt comfortable with was their expensive live-in nanny.
So you would not fancy giving her one ? You should be so lucky.

C C wrote the following post at 13/05/2008 12:24 PM:It was not her personal
achievements that people found objectionable. It was her money grabbing
antics while acting as the Prime Minister's spouse.
These " money grabbing activities " seem to consist entirely of charging people for her time and the use of her name and profile to promote their activities and interests. The people who pay her obviously think they are getting their monies worth... so whats the problem ?
Her haters in the press say she should give such money to charity. Well the owners and editors of the Mail and the Express have vastly more money : perhaps they should look at their own charitable status.
William Hague and others in the Tory party regularly fill their pockets with fees from after dinner speaking. Strange that the same newspapers never claim such money should be given to charity.
The right wing press hate her for being a feisty , successful , highly intelligent woman who regards them [quite rightly ] as being largely a bunch of parasitic drunks.
I hope she makes herself a fortune.

I think Cherie Blair is a poor role model for women.
She used her family to promote political ambitions, yet was the first to then use her legal qualifications as a threat if anyone else tried to do the same.
Where was she when her son was face down in the gutter, blind drunk, she was in Norwich telling other mothers how to bring up their kids
Why didnt her sons go to war, yet she was in tears when they went off to university
How much did she get paid for her "charity" work
You could go on and on
I for one, wouldnt blame Tony if he had more than a massage from Carole

Where was she when her son was face down in the gutter, blind drunk,

Why didnt her sons go to war For the same reason lots of war supporting newspaper editors and Tory MP`S sons did not go to war
How much did she get paid for her "charity" work Lots i hope.....much less money though than the charities who employed her and were very pleased with the deal

Whatever money this clever woman makes will be on the backs of the people of this country.
Clever she may be but there are plenty of clever criminals. Please supply details of her criminal activities and i will pass them on to her. Please supply details of how she made money on the backs of the people. Unlike the Tory Toffs of course who made their dosh by hard , honest work and doing a lot of charity for the poor and opressed.

Yes, totally right CC
I had no preconceived ideas about her initially
I thought she was going to be a good "first lady"
Sadly though, it was her greediness which became her undoing
Monkey trousers, thats a huge crush, you have got there

If there is one thing that unites the right wing press it is the belief that individual citizens should be allowed to use their enterprise and initiative to make money for themselves and improve their lot in life. Clearly this does not apply if you happen to be the working class wife of a labour prime minister.Blatant, festering hypocrisy.
