Fixing results on a TV quiz and conning millions of pounds out of the naive general public has got to be a criminal offense.
Arrest and charge those responsible.
If they had robbed a bank they would be doing at least 10 years in prison!
Robbie Williams can organize the prison Christmas play.

You're actually not wrong Keith.
Especially when you examine the deloitte findings in context with the Ofcom ruling.
Apparently, these people stole over £7m, but even then they were only fined less than six million.
Which means this is still licensed larceny with a public service broadcast regulator in compliance.
Of course, just how much the tiny Geordie duo knew about this, or anything else is, anyone's guess?
Once we all have HDTV, you'll be able to examine them closely and spot the joins.
Then we can be sure of what's always been suspected.
They're animatronics.

Simply for the dire "Britain`s Got Talent" they should be breaking rocks on Dartmoor , let alone robbing people of their phone money.

These two are executive producers of their show yet apparently knew nothing about what was going on! Let's face it, there are an awful lot of thick people put there and presumably that's the sort of person the Ant and Dec show is aimed at ( wouldn't know, havent seen them since the sprogs used to watch Byker Grove in their Junior school days.) The intellectually challenged are as deserving of protection as the next man and if this fraud had been committed as one lump sum they would be languishing in prison, but as it was dribs and drabs cheated out of poltroons ITV are still making money out of it. Considering single mums can be imprisoned for not paying their TV licence something is wrong here. It would be nice to see the back of phone ins tacked on to every programme imaginable, Ofcom should stop the lot.

It also shows the morale low standard of TV programmes that are put out as entertainment foder..... sadly the the under 25s haven`t really known any better and have been brought up on it.
Those of us that have had the quality programes of the past did not need this multi channel rubbish and to make an idea of a mainstream phone in programme in a quest to rip off the public........ and the public actually go along with it ....how sad are they...?......why not make it £2 a call and really rip them off........
We all know its rip off UK, but these people that phone in must actually love being ripped of, after paying to watch the programme in the first place via a license..........
These are just money generation programmes to boost profits, and I would expect have little interest to the majority of us as entertainment.

THey usedto have boards held up in front of the audience saying "Applaud Now". I think it has changed now to " Scream As Loud as You Can " .............and they do. This can be heard any weekday at 5pm on the Paul O`Grady show and any Saturday evening on several channels, Thats why we prefer to play DVDs . Dek.

Yes, but I still cannot understand why those responsible for these obvious frauds are not arrested.
Do the authorities not realize that to omit to do so, will open the door for further abuse of the publics trust.
Are we building a criminal society that is accepted here?

This is one of reasons I no longer have a TV - I gave it away in 2000. At least I don't have to pay an exhorbitant licence fee just to have the TV switched off most of the time.
I don't know which TV channel Ant and Dec are on but the BBC stopped doing competitions some time ago due to a similar problem. On BBC Local Radio we cannot even phone into the usual 0845 type phone-in number to win something like a cheap pen/coaster/presenter's photo (even if we wished to) yet this problem is still happening on TV programmes.
