Are the Tories still 'the nasty party'?

Despite the recent electoral upturn in the fortunes of the Tory Party under David Cameron, it seems that hardly a week goes by without hearing of Tory politicians arrested, charged or convicted of various criminal offences. So has anything really changed? Is the sleaze and criminality associated with the Thatcher and Major years still a feature of modern day Conservatism? Within the last month we have read of:

Why does the Tory Party appear to attract the worst kind of people?

I suspect if you trawl around the web news sites long enough (as you seem to have done looking at the selection of links..) you will dig up dirt on most of the main stream party's.

Which party propaganda site did you copy these links from btw...? (im guessing it wasn't the tory affiliated Yes [Y])

It seems such a short time, too, since the nation told the Tories that their 18 years of rule would never be forgotten.

All political parties are the same: once they get their noses into the Westminster trough they seem to forget what they were elected for.

Sleaze, stealth taxes and misuse of public money are just a few of the complaints that can be aimed at all of them.

I might look darf but I ain't stuput!

I have seen plenty of reds under my guns when this country was seriously threatened by them.

I could trawl the internet for scandals involving Tory, Labour, Liberal, BNP etc, etc, so your point is what exactly?

Each party is made up of human beings and every human being has individual foibles & weaknesses. It doesn't matter what affiliation they have, or do you know better?

Re: Are the Tories still 'the nasty party'?
Every party has its black sheep, even the Greens and they are all trying to operate a damage limitation system. In the case of councillor mullins, a local Conservative councillor on the racks for sexual attacks on underage females, his story is only available from Archant if you pay for it, three days after it has happened.
Why should any politicians be different to your average person, they are only human and subject to all the nastiness in the world, once power is added, the mix becomes volatile. nevermind
