Is anybody else using the phone sevice Tiscali, for broadband and telecommunications? If so, share your horror stories here.
So far, my mother had been paying a bill for Tiscali since December - when she hadnt even got a phone line connected. She still hasnt got a phone line connected by Tiscali (even though requested numerous times) - but we've managed to get the bill cancelled - for now.
Also, my nannas phone line suffers from a vast variety of problems. Firstly, it fails to connect to the internet properly, and the line will usually go in the middle of an internet browsing session. Also, secondly, the phone line recently keeps on going - meaning we cant make call out - or calls cant come in. This is highly frustrating for my grandmother, who is part of many volunteer organisations in the local community, and needs the way of quick communication. She phones customer services today, and found the Tiscali would not assist her in any way. After half an hour on the phone, she spent half an hour giving some foreign woman her details, to which when she finally got round to reporting the problem, the woman said that my nana had gotten through to the wrong service. My nanna had called Tiscali Talk - who was whom she needed to speak to - and had followed instructions to the letter - but the Tiscali talk lady put her through to a broadband lady who said that she couldnt transfer her to the correct person. After all of the hassle they've been causing with their phone line service, and their cutomer services, my nanna is well and truly peed off.

My daughter had much the same with Tiscali due to a marker on the line when she had to move into temporary accommodation recently
She spent quite a lot of money on their very expensive "help line" and so did the person who owned the property.
It was to and fro from Tiscali and BT to whom was responsible for what and it went on and on and on.
I just went to the library to catch up on their computer instead of transfering my account and did not go into changing anything as it is a minefield.

Sorry to hear of your Tiscali problems, reading newspaper articles of the last few years there are regular complaints about internet providers amd their promises. Don't laugh., I have been paying £25.00 per month for about 6 years for broadband by cable. (I think it will become restricted by general overuse locally). We have only had one glitch. Sorted the next day, and the 75pence phone call was refunded on the next bill. The charge does seem high but there are 3 constant users,( addicts?) Christopher.
