Good programme last night making the point that the Black Death, with consequent decrease in population and increase in bargaining power for serfs, led directly to the end of feudalism and, arguably, through a loss of respect for the Catholic Church, the Reformation.
It seems that lessons have been learned. Today's ruling elite spotted a declining birth rates, and promptly arranged for a bit of mass immigration to keep the laws of supply and demand working nicely in their favour.
And ironic - supremely ironic - that the Left are so much in favour of this demographic tidal wave.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Some of us did not get fooled this time.
At least Cameron is starting to talk about weekend work camps.
Now if he had the guts to propose full conscription, the immigration problems would fade away and the economy would reverse its decline.
It just takes the will to push the issue past the weeds and PC morons.
