jitters!!!!!
Hi Jenni
I would recomend no body but no body doing any outside ghost hunting around Thetford. The place is more than just a bit dangerous at night The crime rate is terrible.
Best wishes
Eddie
Hi Jitters,
While visiting warren lodge I also went to the clunian priory at thetford - lovely place. There I came across a memorial stone in the wall saying "HERO", with date but no name! I was also looking for the Bell Inn and could not find it due to heavy traffic, was going round in circles...lol
I am interested in Minstergate & the old houses that you mention, can you give any more info on this please?
Cheers
hi sans
sorry no more info i want to go and have a look, my friend will know more but i will ask her once i have been there and had a look, as eddie will tell you i dont like to know to much before looking as i dont want any impressions in my mind or have any great expectations i like to mention i experienced this and that, only to find it fits in with hauntings etc, find it much more interestingthat way.
jitters!!!!!!
Hi Sans
The Bell Hotel is in the town. Alongside of the riverside carpark.
Hello
Regarding the memorial dedicated to "Hero".
Lord Byron who lived at Newstead Abbey (never an Abbey but a Priory) in Nottinghamshire mourned the loss of his dog "Boatswain" blasphemously placed the monument to his dog where the high alter had once stood.
The "Hero" memorial at Thetford St Marys Cluniac Priory is thankfully a more respectful memorial to a pet dog!
Happy hunting.
