What about D J Taylor's returning to Norfolk series of books, Trespass, Comedy man etc which have recently been publsihed all together by Timewell Press. Think the column is great but maybe more should be made in the design of the column to tell readers that the books are all linked to East Anglia. Shame more people don't put in reviews - possibly an indication that East Anglian literature isn't taken seriously.

Or even a classic like Black Beauty or Coot Club both still in print.

I haven't managed yet to read Coot Club but Black Beauty deserves to still be in print - it is good a good book that it has been the only book to make me cry! I have felt sad with some books but it must be due to the fact that it was about a beautiful animal rather than a human who may have been able to defend themselves better than a horse in similar situations can!
