Paranormal Groups in Norwich

canarymatt 25/02/2008, 5:02 PM

Hi All,

I'm pretty new to the whole forum idea.

I am interested in all things paranormal and was wondering what groups existed within the Norwich area.

Before people ask, my fascination for the subject did stem from watching Most Haunted.  Whilst I know there has been a lot of squit about Most Haunted, I am grateful that it has allowed me to become interested in this field.

I have not had any experiences myself, but find the topic very fascinating.

Thanks

Hi Cannary Matt. Welcome to the forum.

If you put 'Norwich Paranormal groups' into your search engine. You will find a few groups there.

Best wishes

Eddie

Hi Canary Matt...welcome to the forum,  you are joining a whole host of people who love the "paranormal"  ....id love to join a group but i think id be too scared! I used to love MH, but slowly started to get bored with the predictability of it, and then all the back biting....it kinda spoilt it for me.   Im going to my first paranormal evening in June at the Maids Head hotel in Norwich to see Mia Dolan...cos im not sure what i think of her to be honest,  although i like her, ive read her books and they seem a bit far fetched to me?? I tend to feel that Gordon Smith is more convincing.  Have you ever experienced anything paranormal??

Hi Spookfan,

It's nice to talk to people about the paranormal.  A lot of my friends at work just laugh about it and don't seem the slightest bit interested.  But I guess it's not everyone's cup of tea!!!

I would really like to go on a 'ghost hunt', but like you would probably be pretty freaked out if anything were to happen.

Besides the mediums that have featured on MH I don't really know too many others.  I always thought David Wells was pretty good and down to earth.  I wasn't taken with Derek Acorah and thought he was a little OTT.

I don't think I've had a paranormal experience yet.  Well not anything that I can definetly say was paranormal.  I think I've heard someone whisper down my ear at work, but the name I heard was also a name of a work colleague.  So I've kind of put that down to my brain misintreprating other peoples conversations etc.

My wife on the otherhand has had a few experiences.

How about yourself?

Hi canarymatt... Eddie decided that he wanted to look at Bridewell Museum,  and i havent been there for ages, so i said id like to go along with my daughter, i think Paul and Pat are going too.  I have only ever had one or two weird experiences in my life, and i am not really knowledgeable about all things paranormal either, but it doesnt stop me being interested!  If you feel like it...we will be meeting there at about 11.30-12.00pm tomorrow.  I will be coming from Beccles, i will be with my daughter 17, she has long Red hair, so she should be quite noticable!!   I will have a black jacket on, and my hair is short and reddish/brown.  [Linda & Amy]. it would be nice to meet you..if you can make it, we will all three of us, be new to ghost hunting.

Hi Spookfan,

Sorry I was unable to make the Bridewell Museum trip due to other arrangements.

How did you get on?  I've heard it suppose to quite an active building.

Please keep me posted if any other visits are arranged.  Myself and my wife, together with another couple are really keen to take our interest in the paranormal further.

Matt

Hi Canarymatt

Without doubt the Bridewell Museum is very very active. See lets go hunting thread.

Not much caught on camera but wow, we were walking into cold spots & cold breezes. I think that we all had our experiences on those.

I am going to see Sylvester McCoy this coming Saterday, at the TV & Movie shop. (Old BBC shop near the forum.) I shall be going into the Bridewell again afterwards.

So if you can make it, I hope to meet you there. If not, I shall be going my investigation on my tod.

I can not set a time do to not knowing when I will get to see Sylvester. All depends on the crouds that are also there to meet him.

I shall be waring a Ferarri jacket. I get into Norwich at 10.30am. I shall be going strait to the TV/Movie shop & then on to the Bridewell.

Best wishes

Eddie

Hi canarymatt...if you dont mind my asking..what has your wife experienced?   I had a weird experience when i was young..and for years after i couldnt believe what i had seen with my own eyes...so i can understand when people dont believe spooky stories. My hubby is a total sceptic so ....he never experiences anything.
