Have you got land available for low cost housing?

Just in case you did not spot this on my Adman blog (there's shameless self-promotion for you) - here's something that may interest all those with small parcels of land in their portfolio.

South Norfolk District Council is looking for small parcels of land in and around rural villages for low cost housing developments (http://www.south-norfolk.gov.uk/housing/3070.asp). They will rent the homes to young families who cannot afford to buy in the communities in which they grew up and would otherwise be forced to leave their local area. This will enable families keep in touch with friends and relatives, so helping to build more stable relationships.

If you have a patch of land (of less than an acre - 0.4 hectares) that is within walking distance of local facilities then perhaps you might like to consider joining the scheme.
