This is where the grass roots of UK football are lead by old farts with limited ambition, which has resulted in little acheivement for 40 years. They are clutching a straws as to what to do with finding a foreign manager with lower ability england players........a poor combination and doomedto failure as the past same situation has proved.
To accept the fact that UK players are not as good as foreign players, would be a good starting point as it has been shown to everybody that the UK players abilty is proven as to not match the foreign players.
Like most uk people they are well overpaid and lack true ambition and desire to complete at the highest level, and do not acheive what the are paid to do.....very poor value for money..........But brain dead fans till flock and pay to watch this rubbish and sports comentators are even disgusted more often.....with little postive remarks to say.
Its no wonder more people are losing interest in the england squad, and many more don`t give a toss either.
There are far more important things in life............than watching too many pathetic performances of the england squad.
Some say you should support and be proud of you national football team..........maybe they should say the same to the england squad and give a good reason to be proud.
Sirs
Isn't it a shame that we, the English, who invented the game of football, are not capable of finding an English-born person to manage our national team? I see Signor Capello has had support from such eminent football personalities such as Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger, Gianfranco Zola and Clarence Seedorf. But it is noticable that none of these are English, so why should they support a non-English football manager? Obviously, they want their native countries to do better. Scotland toyed with a German manager for a while, with disastrous results; look how much better they have achieved under Scottish managers.
Like our teams, we are becoming obsessed with jonny foreigner

You have to face the fact that the England team players are not fit for purpose, as has been the case for the past 40 years........ Bury your head in the sand if you like the results are proof, and cast in stone.
Cappello will be paid a fantasic salary, and win or lose on the field of play he will coin it in. You can not win a world cup with players of lower ability than your opposition........ The England job is loss leader of a job as countless past managers have found to their cost, although they all done financially well from having a go at it, but to many it has been a bad career move.
Cappello, is just the next in line and after 40 years of rubbish, I see no reason for him to succeed where so many have failed before him. As some have said Cappello can`t polish a turd.
Some say if he can get England to qualify for the next world cup he will have done well....... rubbish thats just another excuse for not getting to the final and maybe actually win something.......... to not win anything is to acheive the same as the last 40 years..... nothing.
I am passed caring after 40 years of nothing, wether they win or lose, my interests have moved on to more interesting things........... when they let foreign players into the England team.........we may acheive something...
