NORWICH IN MAJOR FINANCIAL TROUBLE..?

So Norwich only made 90k profit last season ...how pathetic is that.

If the 7m parachute was not there they would be in a 6m loss situation..... and when the parachute is taken away next year the loss may well be 5m to 10m .Going down to a lower league that their finances can handle seems the best option. When you can`t afford to buy quality players when in profit, then there`s no chance of buying quality players when in heavy debt.

When the value of one Arsenal or Chealsea player would buy the whole Norwich team, their chance of ever winning anything is very remote and the financial difference is growing bigger every year.

I have said before unless 25m is injected into Norwich their chances of moving up is remote to say the least. They are now playing football for footballs sake, just for fans to see them play, with little expected future.

Maybe time will tell and houses will be built on the Norwich site and serve a more usefull purpose, than keeping a team facing a massive on going debt sitaution to keep them going nowhere...?

Not being a Norwich supporter (come on you tractor boys) I am perhaps ill positioned to opine.  IMHO clubs should not be allowed to pay out in wages more than they take in gate receipts on a weekly basis.  Maybe this would reduce the ludicrous fees paid to these so called sportsmen.

I never stole your flag, I just rescued it from the gutter where you left it.

For the truth go to www.bnp.org.uk

I have heard that the average gate receipts per match at Arsenal are ..... £3 million a week.

Norwich have no chance what so ever of competing at that level and their finances could not be more opposite in direction.

As Norwich were in the prem 3 years ago ..one asks who is to blame for the massive financial down turn in 3 years...?

It's not  really that long ago that so called smaller clubs did compete & in quite a few cases succeeded in out shinning their illustrous rivals, the Leeds United team of the 60's & 70's, Nottingham forest (twice European Champions) how many times have Arsenal won it? LOL, and not for getting the Great Ipswich Town side of the late 70's early 80's FA Cup & UEFA Cup winner's and don't forget Wimbledon 4th div to the Prem & FA Cup Winners beating mighty Liverpool.

So what has changed? IMHO football has more to do with show business these days often over rated & hyped player's earning extortionate wages only caring about themselves with agent's also cleaning up finacially off the backs of others football has lost all sense of what it used to be about & that was Football for Football's sake.

People who support and go to watch a so called smaller team such as Norwich City do so because they enjoy their football they are not that bothered about Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd or Liverpool it's their team that matters as a Leeds Utd supporter i have seen my team play  in Div 2, Div1, Prem & Europe now Div 1 again the old Div 3 & i really don't give the Showbiz 11 teams a second thought.

As for the big money being lost by clubs well who knows? there is a lot of self made multi-millionaires owning or running football clubs who like spending money recklessly makes me wonder how they made their own fortune with such little understanding of fiscal matter's so please don't worry about us smaller or struggling clubs wer'e still here you know, if only just.
