Hello!

So, introductions first.

Name: Michael Bailey. I’m a sports journalist for Archant Norfolk, writing for among others the Eastern Daily Press and Evening News, and on a host of different sports.

I also put together Monday’s Champions! supplement for the Evening News, which profiles the swathes of talented youngsters across Norwich and outside – as well as those who just enjoy having a swim, knock or a round.  

Contrary to what has been suggested through some posts on the Pinkun messageboard, I am a Norwich City fan - honest; have been since I was old enough to decipher exactly what it was my nanny and grandad were listening to on a Saturday afternoon.

I like lots of music too.

The idea of this blog? Well, it should give me the chance to spout off about the sport during the week. I wouldn’t expect the entries to go on and on, but hopefully I’ll manage to keep them as an interest insight into how things are done on the Archant sportsdesk.

I expect I won’t be able to resist the odd comment on goings on at Carrow Road as well – but not too often, I promise.
