Norfolk League slams 'autocratic' Alliance
The introduction of three new divisions in the Lovewell Blake Norfolk Alliance has been blasted as "autocratic" by one of its feeder leagues. The Alliance has advised its two feeder leagues - the Lucas Fettes Norfolk League and the NCC West Norfolk League - and the Norfolk Cricket Board that it is pushing ahead with its plans for next season.

Norfolk Cricket Board statement
Norfolk Cricket Board chairman Keir Hounsome issued the following statement in response to the Norfolk Alliance's announcement. "I know there are many people, and not just in the feeder leagues, who are very unsure that the decision to expand to three divisions is in the best interests of Norfolk cricket as a whole, particularly given the likely strength of any third division.

Bombers’ raid yields cup victory
Downham/Stow Bombers are the Junior Carter Cup champions after beating Great Melton Phoenix in last Sunday's final at Manor Park. Melton batted first and after slumping to 48 for five, they recovered to reach 136 all out.

Hoping for third time lucky
Vauxhall Mallards bowler Richard Moores looks to the heavens during Sunday's weather-curtailed Biss Trophy final against Swardeston. Rain cut the game short when Mallards were on 127 for four chasing Swardeston's 155 - and the third attempt to stage the game will be made this Sunday, starting at the earlier time of 11am.

Topcroft’s jolly Goodfellow
LOVEWELL BLAKE NORFOLK ALLIANCE: Topcroft held their nerve to send Norwich & Coltishall Wanderers down in a tense relegation shoot-out. Wanderers, who were challenging for the Premier Division title last season, went into the game hoping to claw back a 13-point deficit on Topcroft and haul themselves out of the relegation zone.
