MARC. Our beloved
son, wonderful husband to Sarah and father to our treasured grandaughters
Beulah & Bronwyn, adored brother
to Melanie, and much loved nephew & grandson. No time to say
goodbye, only take care and goodluck on the roadside that morning
and one last photo requested by you.
Words cannot express losing
you in such a tragic and untimely way and cannot except we will
never see your grinning face so full of energy and laughter. You
feared nothing and called yourself the machine.
Our world has fallen
apart without you here and life can never be the same. You achieved
so much in your 34 years and we are so very very proud. We love
you so much. You were completely unique, simply the best. So as
you would say 'see you later', take care son until we meet again.
Your loving Mum & Dad. x x x x x
The big brother I adored. Words can never express
the loss of losing you.
I will miss you so very much, every minute, hour, day, week, month
& all the years.
I will never stop loving you.
Your Sister
Melanie x x x
In memory of Marc, our much-loved grandson who was killed on the
Isle of Man doing what he loved best, motorcycle racing. Our deepest
sympathy to his wife Sarah and daughters Beulah and Bronwyn and
his sister Melanie and mother and father Sue and Ernie.
With all our love as always. He will be missed more than words can
ever say.
Grandparents Rob and Edna
A tribute to our very dear and special grandson, Marc.
We think you knew how much we have always loved you and how proud
we were of all you had achieved and your lovely family. Our hearts
go out to them and all who loved you in their deep grief. For us,
a light has gone out of our lives and we are left with our memories
of you over the years and the care and all you did for us. Memories
of you which should have been your memories of us. You had a special
way of saying "Bye" which is in my head all the time and
now we have to say it to you. God bless you and keep you dear Marc.
R.I.P.
Your devoted Nana & Grandad
Marc, to pay a tribute to you is so very hard because we still
expect to see your cheeky grin and feel your love of life and enthusiasium
in everything you did. But in our grandchildren Beulah and Bronwyn
we see so very much of you, their smiles, the things they do and
the energy you have passed on to them. You were a great husband
to Sarah and a really brilliant dad, and we are proud to have had
you as a son-in-law. You will always be much loved and missed.
Love always Julie and Paul

I still can't believe that my lovely nephew Marc has gone. He lived
life to the max and his loss leaves a huge gap in so many people's
lives. His family are inconsolable, as are his many friends.
Marc would have been devastated that the accident caused the deaths
of two spectators, and serious injury to two more. All our thoughts
are with them and their families.
Rest in peace Marc, your loving Auntie Gill
He was a fantastic rider, a good friend and he will
be sadly missed by everyone.
Peter Standley
I knew Marc really well, he was always happy to help
me. I had a bad start to the season and he was there to help and
support me, he was such a nice bloke, really genuine. He was doing
well this year with the road racing and he really wanted to race
in the TT.
Norfolk power-bike racer Sam Bishop

I was so sad to hear of Marc's death, although doing something
I know he loved. I have very happy memories of Mark from when I
taught him at Spooner Row CP School when he was a delightful 'lovable
rogue'. I send his family my sympathy as I think of them at this
time, especially Sarah and the girls.
All my thoughts are with you

I will always remember Marc with love and affection, he had a wicked
sense of humour and was never short of conversation. I too was his
sponsor when I owned the Motorcycle Clothing Centre in Wymondham.
He lived for his family and friends and hopefully he is still doing
what he does best by never giving up. Rest in peace dear friend
and god bless.
Billy Sue and girls.
On behalf of Sue's work colleagues and friends, our thoughts are
with you all at this sad time.
Trina Dixon, Manager, Linden Court
I only met Marc on two brief occasions but he was contagiously
inspirational and just plain good honest fun. We lost a good one
but one who left much for us all to live up to - thanks for the
time you gave us Marc.
Phil R1 - Norwich
We only knew Marc through his wife Sara, when she came to mate
her cocker spaniels with our stud dogs, so we had only met him a
few times when we went to see the puppies. He came over as a devoted
family man and our thoughts are with Sarah and the girls at what
must be the lowest point ever in their lives. We are here for you
Sarah, you know you only have to pick up the phone and we will help
you however we can.
Jill and Fred, Aldertree, Old Buckenham.
Never met you Marc but having raced the TT myself in the 60's I
know the inspiration and challenge you took on and achieved in the
toughest and greatest roadrace in the world.
It takes a special type of person to achieve the speeds you did
in The Isle of Man on your first visit. My sympathy to all your
family and friends at their tragic loss.
Rest in Peace Under the Chequered Flag, Marc

I was at the Pembrey circuit in South Wales when I received a phone
call to inform me of the accident. I've always felt that a passion
for motor sport is to embrace and celebrate life itself, and when
sometimes things go tragically wrong the sense of grief and loss
is equal to the love and respect we all feel for that person. Jez
Clark,Team JCR and myself would like to send our deepest condolences
to Marc's family and friends.
David Bennett
I offer my sincerest condolences to all Mark's family and freinds.
I, as a Marshal at the TT was devastated by the incident, made more
so by my attendance at the scene.
Stuart Read
We (Onchan Raceway) met Marc for the first time last Thursday Evening
an event we run each year, the TT Riders Night.
This, I believe was the first time Marc had taken to racing on 3
wheels, a Reliant Robin.
Marc made not only a huge impression on everyone at Onchan Raceway
but on every one in the stadium, even more so when he collected
the "TT Rider of the Night" trophy, presented by Sarah.
Every single one of us were devastated by the news on Friday and
we would like to pass on our deepest condolences to all Marc's family
and friends.
Onchan Raceway
Marc, You will be sadly missed by so many people. Your infectious
grin and upbeat approach to life touched everyone who’d ever
met you. I never really got a chance to say goodbye before I left
and now that moment will never come. My sincerest condolences to
Sarah and all Marc’s family.
You will never be forgotten and will always live on in the my and
all of
his friends and family’s thoughts.
Goodbye mate
Phil Underwood (Sidecar 999), Queensland, Australia
So sad to hear of the loss of Marc and the spectators also involved.
We recently saw Marc win 5 races at Scarborough so when we knew
he was entered for the TT made a point of following his progress.
He appeared to have taken to the mountain circuit so we were deeply
shocked to learn of his accident he looked so smooth and in control
everywhere we watched around the TT course.
Hearfelt condolences to Marc's wife, family and friends he will
be missed on the roads scene. RIP
Bill and Jackie
Carole and I only knew Marc for a short time but he became a true
friend. He will be greatly missed by everybody our thoughts and
prayers are with him and his family
RIP Rammi
Regards, Trucker
I first saw Marc race in 2005 at Scarborough and it soon became
clear as to how talented he was. He was a becoming a real star and
I'm pleased that I got to know him and that I was able to witness
his finest hour, in May this year, when he won five races at Oliver's
Mount. I spoke to Marc a few times at the TT, the last time being
on Thursday afternoon in the paddock, just a day before his final
race, and we had a good chat about how he had been getting on and
how he was enjoying himself thoroughly. When the news came through,
I was stunned and am deeply saddened by his passing - my heart goes
out to his wife and daughters and to all his family friends. I can
honestly say I never saw him without a smile on his face and that's
how I'll remember him - RIP

I grew up in the same village as Marc and have been friends for
a long time. We shared a passion for bikes but Marc had all the
skills and talent! Marc was a truly great rider, a true friend and
one of the best guys I’ve ever known.
I always will your friendship, your dry humour and days out on track,
a terrible loss to all that knew you. Quite simply I’ll miss
you forever mate.

I knew Rammy through my ex husband. He was a lovely guy, a real
character, always ready for a challenge and would be there to help
anyone. A few months after I split from my husband he spotted me
at Snetterton and made a point of coming over to say hi and see
how I was. That’s the type of guy he was. I remember seeing
him race at Brands Hatch once and he was amazing, a really talented
racer. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. RIP Rammy
Helen
Marc you were one of the best laughs at school, and i will always
remember you with fondest memories, love to sarah and your daughters

Many of us have a dream, but do nothing to achieve it.
Marc's dream and ambition was to make something of himself in the
world of racing. His hard work and determination would have got
him to the top. Sadly his dream was unable to be fulfilled. Marc
will be missed by many. our sincere thoughts are with all his family.
Gladys@Brian.
I was shocked to hear that Marc had lost his life on the Mountain
last friday, I met Marc first time last year at the Ulster GP, he
really impressed me at Dundrod and afterwards I was speaking with
Marc about his interest doing the TT. I was looking for Marc on
the TT paddock, found him and his good friends, spoke with Marc's
friends after what has happened in the Senior, gutted, I think that's
the word, the biggest shame in life, loosing such a young talented
kind man.
As I am taking photographs for my website I promised to Marc's friends
to send all my pictures of Marc to his beloved wife and children.
Rest in Peace Marc, it was great to have known you.
Gert Meulman. (www.joey-jan.com)
I never met Marc but watched him steadily improve over the course
of the TT fortnight and was impressed by his progress.
I am sure he would have done well in the future, had this tragedy
not occured and robbed the world of his talent and enthusiasm.
My thought - like many others' - are for his family, friends and
all other affected by this terrible accident.
Liz "Boakesey" Boakes, Photographer, Isle of Man.
I didn’t know Rammy and now never will get the chance. But
as a fellow Bike racer my condolences go out to all those that were
close to him.
Tim Churchill, Bemsee Thunderbike
I can only say how sorry I am about Marc’s death. I know
this does really touch the surface on the grief Marc’s wife,
daughters and family must be feeling right now. I was at the TT
as were thousands of others, merely a spectator watching the sport
I love with such a passion. I saw Marc’s wife on the mountain
with the police the day after and that image shall stay with me
for the rest of my life. Try to be strong Sarah, for your girls
and I know Marc will wait for you, as you had asked. This is sent
with so many, many thoughts to you all xxx
Sarah Blakey
I am a brit currently working overseas in Qatar, I race Superbikes
myself and I am a regular TT visitor, unfortunately this year I
was unable to make the Island due to work commitments and had to
listen to the event via the internet from my home in the middle
east.
I did not know Mark, but read up on him and the other newcomers
prior to the event. The TT is one of motor sports greatest challenges
and any rider that actually makes it to the Island is a hero in
my eyes, the selection process is very strict and for those that
are not aware Mark was one of the elite few that made it.
The 50,000 or so spectators make the yearly pilgrimage to the isle
of Man for that very reason, not to see someone crash but to see
the best riders in the world pit themselves against the most challenging
circuit in the world, the TT is unique in being one of the few circuits
in the world where spectators can get really close to the action,
in this case with tragic consequences
My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and the families of the
others involved.
My thoughts are with you....
Nidge Gladstone
Best wishes to all the family involved and you will be sadly missed
. I did not know Marc but being a visitor to the TT you feel like
you know the people and racers. Sounds like a true racer and gent.

Marc was a truly genuine nice guy and was a very well respected
racer. His death has sent shock waves throughout the whole racing
fraternity. He achieved so much in his racing career - a true inspiration.
His family must be very proud of him.
His death is as untimely as it undeserved and our hearts go out
to his whole family at this time.

Marc, it was an honour to airbrush your helmet for you something
you was so proud of and i was too, you were so excited to be going
to the TT and i was so proud that you would be wearing the helmet
we both worked on together. The best thing i will remember is you

We would like to say how honoured we both feel to have known Marc.
He was a great man and a fantastic rider.
At the TT we thoroughly
enjoyed watching Marc, cheering him along, and having the pleasure
to meet up with Marc and his Rammy Racing team in the paddocks
one
afternoon.
He was so excited about racing, he brought a smile to everyone's face who had
the joy of being around him.
