The perfect hairstyle can be the finishing touch to looking and feeling fabulous in your wedding dress.

Kayley Gorham, senior stylist and manager at John Olivers, has created this year's hottest looks and offers her tips to achieving real flair with your hair.

A romantic hairstyle A contemporary hairstyle A classic hairstyle
ROMANTIC: Curled gently and then swept to the side, this style suits brides with long hair and lots of layers. Suitable for all face
shapes, this look is perfect for spring/summer weddings and works
particularly well with strapless dresses.
Wear without a veil
so that your hair becomes a beautiful focal point.
CONTEMPORARY: This look was achieved by curling the hair gently and then back-combing, before piling up for a wild but pretty look. Great with most face shapes, this modern take on the traditional up-do is ideal for brides with shoulder length to long hair.
Suitable all year round, looks stunning with or without a veil.
CLASSIC: Here the hair is swept back into a pleat to look sleek, shiny and neat. This look works best on mid to long-length cuts
and will suit most face shapes, except long. The classic style is securely pinned,
making it suitable for all weather conditions,
all year round.
Finish with a tiara and veil for a breathtaking vision.

Hair dos and don'ts

Have a few practice runs in the weeks before your wedding to try styles and find what works for you.

It is imperative that you see your hair with your whole bridal outfit to make sure it all looks exactly as you want - don't wait until the wedding day.

Wear a button-up shirt so you don't have to pull anything over your head and upset the styling.

Have your hair cut and coloured a couple of weeks before the day so that everything has time to settle and your look is perfect.

Think about the practicality of what you want. Curls can look great, but if your hair is naturally straight, will they hold up for a 10 hour day?

Above all, be yourself. Your hair should reflect who you are, so avoid styles that are very different from your usual look.
