Toasts and speeches
The toasts are probably one of the most anticipated elements
of any wedding. Will the groom pull off that joke about
the bride's mother? Will the best man drag the appropriate
skeletons out of the groom's closet?.
Here are a few suggestions for the perfect piece de resistance.
Bridegroom
- As John Keats once said "A thing of beauty is a
joy forever." Here's to you, my beautiful bride.
- Never above you, never below you, always beside you.
Every day you look lovelier and lovelier, and today you
look like tomorrow.
Father of the bride
- It is written: when children find true love, parents
find true joy. Here's to your joy and ours, from this day
forward.
- Happy marriages begin when we marry the one we love,
and they blossom when we love the one we married.
- May the best of your past be the worst of your future.
Best man
- Let's drink to love, which is nothing - unless it's divided
by two.
- May you live as long as you like, and have all you like
for as long as you live.
- May (Bride's name) share everything with her husband,
including the housework.
