Ask a professional for help, but make sure you still look
like yourself on your wedding day. That’s the top
tip from Norfolk’s beauty salons and make-up artists,
who have plenty of advice and help for the bridal party.
“If you normally wear lots of make-up and bright
eye shadow then do the same for your wedding, but if you
usually have a natural look, keep it that way,” advises
make-up artist and beautician Vicky Watts, of Pure Bliss
beauty salon, Norwich.
Do arrange to have your make-up done professionally on
the day, and why not that of your bridesmaids too? It’s
one thing you won’t have to worry about and the make-up
artist will know exactly how much to apply to ensure you
look fantastic but still like yourself.
Be prepared, too, by eating, drinking and sleeping properly
in the months leading up to the wedding in order to give
your skin a healthy glow.
If you can, have a series of facials to get your skin in
tip-top condition, and try out everything you are planning
for the day well in advance, from eyelash tinting and eyebrow
shaping to a manicure and fake tan, to ensure that you like
the look.
Always have a trial make-up session and be honest; if
you don’t like the look they’ve created, say
so. That way they can practise until you are happy.
A concealer stick, lip gloss and light, reflective powder
are handy for touching up make-up on the wedding day itself.
But, more importantly, take the easiest step to glowing
beauty – relax and smile!
